Welcome to PrepKit. By accessing or using our service at prepkit.study, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PrepKit in any way, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Description of Service

PrepKit is an AI-powered study platform that provides flashcard generation, quizzes, study planning, an AI tutor, and related educational tools. We offer both a free tier and a paid Pro subscription with enhanced features.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and current information when creating your account.
• You may not share your account with others or use another person's account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@prepkit.study if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PrepKit to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Upload content you do not have rights to share (e.g., copyrighted textbooks in full).
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our AI systems.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Use automated bots or scripts to abuse usage limits.
• Resell or redistribute PrepKit's AI-generated content commercially without permission.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

PrepKit Pro is a monthly subscription billed at $7.99/month. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

• Subscriptions auto-renew each month unless cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; access continues until the period ends.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.
• Prices may change with 30 days' advance notice.

6. AI-Generated Content

PrepKit uses AI to generate flashcards, quiz questions, study notes, and tutor responses. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You should always verify important information against authoritative sources. PrepKit is a study aid and not a substitute for professional academic, medical, legal, or other expert advice.

7. Intellectual Property

PrepKit and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PrepKit and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Content you upload remains yours; by uploading it, you grant PrepKit a limited license to process it for delivering the service to you.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

PrepKit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrepKit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of PrepKit after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
